Top Ten Books I Would Recoommend to People WHo Don’t Read X

Top Ten

Hosted at The Broke and Bookish

This is probably supposed to be like a big umbrella of like “historical fiction” or something but I have decided to do a different genre for all ten books so here goes.

1. To people who don’t like novels with a lot of Romance in them because it’s so cheesy and lovey dovey it makes them feel ill (you know who you are). I would recommend Anna and the French Kiss because although there is primarily Romance going on, there is a lot of other plot too and it’s a really feel good book and the romance is actually REALLY cute and in no way sickening because you’re too full of feels to care.

2. To people who don’t like New Adult, apparently the Lux series is new adult so rolling with it because it is sooo amazing! It’s hilarious and just awesomeness and YES. (please ignore the terrible covers)

3. To people who don’t like dystoipians because they are too “Hunger Games” I dare you to read Cinder by Marissa Meyer and tell me that there are ANY similarities other than the futuristic thing! Furthermore it’s a fairytale retelling which are always awesome so READ IT NOW!

4. To people who are still hating on Stephanie Meyer because she wrote Twilight and you judge anyone who likes it (well that was an accidental rant). READ THE HOST. The Host is a fantastic book which people avoid like the plague because of twilight connections which is just unnecessary and a shame.

5. To people who “don’t read middle grade” PERCY JACKSON! The number of times I have forced that book into the grasp of other people I swear to god, read it, love it, pass it on.

6. To people who really aren’t into zombies I recommend Reboot by Amy Tintera. I really wasn’t keen on the idea myself, I’m still not to be honest but this books was amazing. The way they deal with it is really interesting and they aren’t your typical we will eat you zombies, they are trained to be soldiers and it’s like the sooner you wake from being dead, the closer to human you are, so naturally our protagonist is the longest time to wake up reboot that there has ever been.

7. To people who STILL won’t touch the subject of Vampires since twilight, I recommend Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. It is one of my favorite series of all time because the plot, characters and world are just so much fun to dive into you know until the series goes on and shit gets real.

8. To people who don’t read crime but want a good laugh I recommend the Stephanie Plum bail bonds series because it is HILARIOUS! I die laughing every time and they’re great for reading in a mourning period because they’re so quick to get through and bonus, there’s 21 of them so far which you will feel no commitment to get through in a rush so the could last you 20 separate mourning periods and by the time you get through that either a) the next book will be out or b) you’ll have forgotten the details of the early ones and can reread!

So I’m going to wind this up here because I am out of genre ideas and don’t want to just fizzle out. You know like those TV shows where like the prime time has passed and they’re just getting rubbish and nobody’s watching anymore because they want the good days back? (sorry another accidental rant, I’m in TV mourning at the moment to that’s that)

Harry Potter Book Tagish Thing

So earlier this week I was scrolling through pictures on my phone and I came across this which I had taken a screenshot of a wee while back to do on the blog. I don’t know where it originated or where I found it but it looks awesome so why the hell not? if you know who created this please let me know so that i can give credit! Enjoy!

Scarlett! What have you been DOING lately!

I know guys, I’m really slacking in my blogging right now. I’m at home in Scotland visiting my family and such all summer and have found myself to become O exhausted that all I want to do is just watch TV and sleep forever! Which is a really bad attitude to have but hey ho! On top of that, I’ve had some tough decisions and big changes thrust upon me the last two weeks so I’ve been very distracted with that. Now, on my Facebook I did say that my City of Heavenly Fire Book Discussion would be up today but despite e letting it upload for 5 hours last night it’s not even half way through doing that! It’s taken me forever to edit purely because I had SO MUCH FOOTAGE! But it’s on it’s way I promise! Look out for a more organised post later on today! I was just slipping this one in so that you don’t think I’m absolutely slacking on you guys. I’m not, I’ve just got a lot on my plate at the moment.
