““Take her out back and finish her off.”
She doesn’t know who she is. She doesn’t know where she is, or why. All she knows when she comes to in a ransacked cabin is that there are two men arguing over whether or not to kill her.
And that she must run.
In her riveting style, April Henry crafts a nail-biting thriller involving murder, identity theft, and biological warfare. Follow Cady and Ty (her accidental savior turned companion), as they race against the clock to stay alive.”
Why was I excited?
Would anyone be surprised to hear that I was reading it for Teen Book Con? Which is today by the way! If you’re reading this between 9:15 and 5:00 then we are actually there right now!!!
What was my favourite part?
There were so many parts of this book which I loved as it was beautifully crafted and phenomenally written and had me second-guessing myself and what I had already read. I really liked both the scene in McDonald’s where Cady meets Ty and writes everything down on a napkin before falling asleep and the scene in the lab where it all comes to a head, it made me so tense and I was frantically reading to see the conclusion of the story!
Who is my favourite character?
Ty was such a great character, even though the situation was difficult he just carried on and helped Cady even though she was a complete stranger and potential murderer. it takes a strong person to have such blind faith in people and it was a really great quality in Ty, it was exactly what Cady needed.
How Long Did it Take to Read?
Overall – 75% – It was a great read which a really enjoyed but I’m in a place where I need a phenomenal 5 star AMAZING book and it just didn’t satisfy my need for that.
Cover – 80% – It’s so eerie and perfectly matches the tone of the book
