Top 10 Things on my Bookish Bucket List

This is just gonna be a quickie post (see Absence) so please excuse the spelling errors

1. Meet Cassandra Clare
I have adored her books since discovering them this past year and I want to meet the brain behind all of that magic!

2. Read the works of Jane Austen
Pride and Prejudice is one of my favourite books so I aspire to read the rest to see how they stack up
against it.

3. Write a Book
This has been something I have been thinking about for a while now and it’s first on my to-do list when I leave school.

4. Hit 10,000 Pageviews
I never thought I would manage to keep my blog running this long so I was astounded to hit 5,000 views the other week, I want to keep on going!

5. Go to The Elephant House
The Elephant House Cafe in Edinburgh is where J.K Rowling sat and wrote the Harry Potter books, it’s about 3 hours from my hometown in Scotland so I’m confident this will happen sometime!

6. Make some Blogger friends
I currently have one (hey Julie!) but  I want to make more and meet some of them! If you are a blogger in the Houston Area who is planning on going to TeenBookCon, tweet me for details about a meet-up (@SJbookblog)

7. Meet Christine of PolandbananasBOOKS
In January of 2013, after finishing the Mark of Athena, I turned to the internet for help with my feels and I stumbled upon this video.

It has since changed my reading life. Her videos inspired me to do more reading and eventually start up my blog and Youtube channel. I would love to meet Christine and thank her for that in person.

8. Read all 7 Harry Potter Books in a Week
This is a thing. which people do. I wanna do it. But I’m in school so I can’t….. Bummer

9. Sell 10 copies of If I Stay by Gayle Foreman (current count: 4)
When I say sell, I mean take friends to a bookstore and ensure that they leave with a copy.

10. Turn my room into a book haven
At the moment, as close as I have been able to come to this is the posters and taking great care of my bookshelves. This is because I am currently living in a rented house. But when I move back home to Scotland, it is my intention (which I haven’t told my parents yet) to have a wall of books and then fill the other three walls with quotes and pictures and all sorts. I’m kind of in love with the idea of having a book nook area like next to my window? I’m not sure yet but I’ll make it happen!
